MediCat USB is a bootable troubleshooting environment that comes with a Windows PE boot environment and troubleshooting tools. The author of MediCat DVD designed the bootable toolkit as an unofficial successor to the popular Hiren's Boot CD boot environment .

You can access all sorts of programs right there, and even more if you're using the version of the toolkit that comes with PortableApps (this one). This includes many tools to help you troubleshoot your PC;

These include: EaseUS Partition Master, HDDExpert, NTFS Permissions Tool, backup tool, Dead Pixel checker, CPU-Z, RegAlyzer, Dr.Web CureIt, Kaspersky TDSSKiller, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Autoruns.

MediCat USB is a Hiren's Boot Disk that completely replaces modern computers. MediCat USB aims to replace the discontinued and obsolete Hiren's Boot Disk. It is geared towards modern hardware and follows the Ubuntu release cycle with a new release updated every 6 months.

The author of MediCat DVD designed the bootable toolkit as an unofficial successor to the popular Hiren's Boot CD boot environment.

The menu lists the following options in this regard:

• Windows 64-Bit Recovery: Choose from Microsoft or Easy Recovery options for Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.
• Hard Disk Tools: includes Acronis TrueImage 2017, GParted, Norton Ghost 11.5, Paragon Hard Disk Manager, PloP Boot Manager, SpinRite, SuperGrubDisk, Darik's Boot and Nuke.
• Diagnostic Utility: now includes Memtest86+ Hardware Detection Tool, TestDisk/PhotoRec/LiliPad, Ultimate Boot Cd.
• Virus scanning: this only launches the Comodo Rescue Disk for now.
• Remove user account passwords: Active Password Changer, Daossoft Windows Password Rescuer, Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, PCUnlocker, Boot Kon-Boot CD.

What's New in MediCat USB 21.06
Added:
+ Discord Portable has been restored and working again. It's a bit slow to start up and update itself etc… but it works.
+ DeepL Translator application in the PortableApps menu, for more fluent and smarter translations.
+ WBG Windows Password Reset was added to Jayro's Lockpick by @AAA3A
+ @AAA3A created a Startup.bat script that loads whatever is placed into the Y:\System\Startup\ folder after the screen loads in. This can be useful to open a custem of your favorite application or a notepad document, for example.
+ @AAA3A and I added a custom Wallpaper Changer script to the Windows 10 Mini. Put your custom background.png in the folder Y:\System\(Y:\System\background.png) and your custom wallpaper you will be placed on the loading screen. If you do not have a background image at Y:\System\background.png, the default background image from X:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows\img0.jpg will be provided to you.
+ Wi-Fi connection creation script created by @AAA3A and added to the build. What you do is edit Y:\System\Startup\Wifi.bat with your network's SSID and Password, and also change the "setup generation" flag to a capital "Y". Run Wifi.bat and it will generate you a Wifi.xml file. Then edit the “set generation” flag back to a capital “N” and save it. It will now automatically connect to your Wi-Fi network every time you start Mini Windows 10.
+MON5TERMATT #9999 on MediCat USB Official Discord server compiled AAA3A's batch file into an EXE to launch Tor Browser from the PortableApps Menu.
OnlyOffice Desktop Editor Portable has been added to the PortableApps Menu.

+ Exported previous MediCat USB wallpapers to Theme folders, so you can now choose any previous MediCat USB wallpaper.

Change Menu:

Fixed:
* Better trackpad support in Mini Windows 10, Malwarebytes Bootable and Jayro's Lockpick.
* Rebuilt Malwarebytes Bootable – When you update the Virus Definition, make sure you exit the application in the task tray and reopen it so that the new definitions are preserved. If not, you can BSOD. And note that, when running a custom scan, make sure you uncheck all 4 boxes on the left side to minimize your chances of getting a BSOD.
* Further improvements to the overall system stability and other minor tweaks have been made
Requirements: USB at least 32 GiB.
Note: The first thing to do is disable any “real-time scanning” in your antivirus software, including Windows Defender . Otherwise you will delete the applications from your USB stick during creation and things will not work properly.
