Take a Screenshot on Win 7 Without Snipping Tool: Windows+PrtScr​

Use this method when you need a full-screen screenshot and save it as an image file without any image processing tool. Try these steps to see the magic:

  • While you’re on any computer program window, press the Windows and Print Screen (PrtScr on some keyboards) together.
  • Windows will automatically save the screen area as an image file.
  • To access the images, open the Pictures folder from Libraries.
  • You’ll find Libraries inside the Computer window.
This method is hardware sensitive. If the action doesn’t save any file within the Pictures folder, the computer’s hardware configuration doesn’t support it.
